Earlier this month, TCS visited SEPTA's Fern Rock Maintenence Facility to record the Broad Street Line B-IV subway cars. We were given a private inspection train all to ourselves and mainline access to record the Broad Street Line at normal track speeds. We spent all morning and afternoon on the subway and returned with a lot of high-quality audio material.
The Southeastern Pennsylvania Transportation Authority (SEPTA) is Philadelphia's regional public transportation network that operates bus, rapid transit, commuter rail, light rail, and electric trolleybus services for nearly 4 million people in five counties in and around Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Many thanks to our neighbors at SEPTA that made this trip possible!
