This locomotive is a tender drive. The tender is completely full of motor, gearbox and cast chassis. view page two
Fortunately all of the power pickups are on the locomotive. The power lead is just visible in the above photograph.
To remove the loco body, remove two screws, front behind the coupling and the screw which secures the tender drawbar to the Loco.
Cut the pickup leads where they lie on the chassis casting. Connect the red and black leads to the wheel pickups and the orange and gray to the leads to the tender. continued next page
